The Metropolitan Cathedral of São Sebastião is located in the financial center of the city and is in the form of a pyramid with majestic measurements: 106 meters in diameter at the base, 96 meters high and 4,500 square meters of stained glass windows. The basement contains the Museu de Arte Sacra sacred art museum which contains more than 5,000 items, ranging from medals to paintings.
